The Secret to Fast & Easy Meals!
I’m sure you’ve been cooking more under the shelter in place orders. Does it feel like you ever leave your kitchen?
There are more dishes, a higher grocery bill, and your family complaining about what’s for dinner.
Making fast and easy meals can always be a challenge. But, fast, flavorful and healthy meals that’ll please everyone? That’s nearly impossible.
Who are we kidding, most of this is a challenge in “normal” everyday life too.
That’s why I batch cook. It’s my secret to fast, easy and healthy meals all week!
Meal planning is an incredibly useful tool to support healthy habits. It will help you eat healthier meals and save time during the week. But, sometimes meal prepping means spending a lot of time to prepare a number of different meals for a full week. Or you get bored eating the exact same thing for 5 days in a row.
Batch Cooking is a strategy to cook larger portions of simply prepared foods meant to be mixed and matched to create versatile meals throughout the week.
By using simple cooking techniques, you can accomplish a lot of meal prep in a small amount of time. Then use those simple components in multiple combinations and build up flavors to create variation all week. This approach guarantees tasty, healthy meals with ease and variety.
I use this strategy in my own kitchen and it only takes 45-90 minutes to prep all the components for a whole week of meals; for 4 people. Each meal only takes 2-15 minutes to compose!
Quick breakfast when you’re rushing out the door.
Easy packed lunches to guarantee a healthy meal even during the busiest day.
5 minute dinners for you and the whole family when the last thing you want to do is cook.
Plus, this approach saves you money. I have been able to buy all top-quality, organic produce and proteins for $3, per meal!
There’s no strict guide to follow, but instead a formula so that every meal is different and it’s up to you! Be creative as you want. Do you want tacos? Grab a tortilla and some salsa. Don’t have time for breakfast? Make some soft boiled eggs to split over a roast veggie breakfast bowl.
In just 1 hour of batch cooking you can make each of these healthy meals below in 10 minutes or less! Spinach Salad, Macro Veggie-bowl with shredded chicken and Shrimp Stir-fry.
Can you tell how excited I am? I want to help you make fast and easy meals like these for yourself and/or your family. Look below to download my guide to make simple, healthy meals! ??
